For anyone looking for a nicely crystallised Nickeline displaying its characteristic delicate pinkish-rose-gold blush, then this might just be for you. A terrific small miniature from the Helbra mines in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, rich in Nickeline crystals averaging 1 to 1.5 mm across. Although the crystals are tiny, once viewed under a low power lens (say, x5), the coverage of reddish metallic crystals is excellent and likely covers mounds of Nickelskutterudite, although this is not confirmed. A charming and unassuming good example of Nickeline from the Josef Clemente (1899-1987) Collection of southern Germany.
