Primary Malachite

ID: CC21220
This fabulous showy and aesthetic small cabinet specimen of Primary Malachite is priced very reasonably at $250, providing a great opportunity for the acquisition of one of these fine examples.  From the famous Mashamba West mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, deep, rich chromium emerald green translucent Malachite crystals form a broad V-shaped cluster with a stunning bright glassy lustre.  Primary Malachite is the term given to Malachite crystals showing its true monoclinic habit which is relatively uncommon given its worldwide abundance.  Malachite commonly forms as mamillary deposits or pseudomorphs.  The acicular crystals form roughly 9 mm long by 4 mm wide double terminated bundles with dark bottle green centres and electric-emerald green tips.  Simply fabulous!
