The colour zoning in this ex-matrix, miniature cluster of intergrown cubic Fluorite crystals is amazing, yet so characteristic of the Okorusu mine in Otjiwarongo District, Namibia.  Cubic crystals up to 1.6 cm on edge are mainly gemmy to transparent with opaque mossy cores.  Each purple crystal contains a distinct leafy chrome green phantom whose axis are offset by 90 degrees to the outer cube.  The transition from purple outer prism to green inner is stunning and varied; a nebulous blend in some and with geometric steps in others.  Held at certain angles, the green and purple colours morph into stunning lavender blue, a quite sensational sight.  Enough said, certainly a thing of great beauty from Namibia.
