The Fairy Holes Pocket is named for a natural cave system into which the former Eastgate-Blue Circle Cement Quarry impinged and partly consumed.  This 8.5 x 5.5 cm altered limestone matrix is encrusted with Fluorite crystals up to 1.2 cm on edge, although commonly of about 4 mm on edge.  The pale minty to chrome green crystals are transparent to translucent and have internal cloudy zones and wispy veils.  Dominating the middle back edge is a large 2.6 x 2.6 x 1.5 cm elongated cube of deep leaf, emerald and chrome green penetrated by two smaller twinned crystals.   Zoning is present, yet subtle, due to all the colours being slightly differing shades of green.  Under LWUV all the Fluorite fluoresces strong lilac white.
