Reflected in its price, this is not a showstopping Clinoclase from Wheal Gorland, but it is rich and dates back with a long provenance of collections in which it has resided.  Amongst the accompanying labels are a Richard W. Barstow green stock label and an extremely old looking handwritten label in copperplate script and noted as “Old Wheal Unity Mine”.  Dark inky blue to dark green Clinoclase forms a roughly 2.5 x 2.5 cm mound on a small opaque milky Quartz matrix.  Although more massive than crystalline, occasional small beetle or acorn rounded clusters of Clinoclase crystals are occasionally seen, albeit very small.
