ID:
CC21595
This rich plate of Cuprite has a matrix of massive Cuprite of which about half its surface, top and bottom, is covered with dark metallic mahogany-red Cuprite crystals up to about 3 mm. This small cabinet specimen is from Wheal Druid, located on the lower northern flank of Carn Brea close to Pool, between Camborne and Redruth. A little milky Quartz is mixed with the Cuprite in places and on the base and the central area contains pale green low-grade Malachite. This specimen can be equally well displayed front or back. It comes with a Ward’s Natural Science Establishment of Rochester, N.Y. label.
