A rich Cassiterite from South Crofty mine at Pool, about mid-way on the A30 between Camborne and Redruth.  This small cabinet specimen is a great example of the rich tin mineralisation found in this mine, composed almost entirely of creamy-lemon clove brown massive anhedral Cassiterite mixed with milky Quartz and many shallow vugs containing developed euhedral Cassiterite crystals.  These vugs are also lined with small acicular needle Quartz, many crystals being stained clove brown by the inclusion of finely divided Cassiterite.  A good, rich Cassiterite from South Crofty.
