The interestingly named Bull Run quarry is near to Conklin in Loudoun County, Virginia, about 170 km southwest of Washington.  It is known for its excellent Hydroxyapophyllite-(K) crystals and has a total of thirty five valid species attributed to the operation.  This fine crystal displays parts of four faces of a cube with a naturally cleaved based which has been overgrown by later stage mineralisation.  A smaller 2.4 x 2.0 x 1.4 cm Hydroxyapophyllite-(K) crystal emerges from one side.  These crystals have opaque cores and translucent faces and display a most attractive bright pearly lustre.  Minor botryoidal white balls of Prehnite form drusy coating around the lower edges.
