Elmwood mine Fluorite is always magnificent and this good cabinet size specimen certainly lives up to expectations.  Attached to a hidden matrix of massive metallic chocolate brown Sphalerite, three superb intergrown Fluorite crystals display an aesthetic blend of mixed colourless, lilac and watery-yellow zones throughout the individual prisms.  The part-cubic prisms measure up to 6.5 cm on edge and each contain Carthage corners, the term given to Fluorite crystals from this district whereby the corner is composed of gemmy, colourless transparent Fluorite which extends back towards the centre of the prism as a tapering triangular-cone.  In this specimen the corners do have a slight pale lemon tint but are predominantly colourless.   A splendid example of this much admired Fluorite habit.
