Anglesite was found throughout the supergene and all three deep oxidation zones in the Tsumeb mine and occurred in numerous habits, making it not always the easiest crystal habit to identify. But there is no doubt, even at first glance, of just what this fine 5 cm tall crystal is! The dominant Anglesite crystal emerges from a complex tangle of smaller similar crystals and an orange-chocolate brown pervading yet tenuous matrix of iron-stained micro-crystalline Anglesite. The main crystal measures 5.0 x 3.9 x 1.8 cm, the latter measurement being at its thickest point in the middle of this diamond-shaped crystal. All the Anglesite crystals are translucent milky white with inclusions of the rust pigment. A really excellent Tsumeb Anglesite.
