Cuprite on Native Copper

ID: CC21821
A superb miniature of excellent bright lustrous Cuprite crystals covering a mainly hidden matrix of hackly Native Copper and creamy white Quartz from West Wheal Phoenix at Minions close to Liskeard in Cornwall, England. Perfect octahedral crystals of metallic deep burgundy red Cuprite to 2 mm totally encrust the matrix, yet through which spiky fronds of reddish-bronze Native Copper protrude and in places crude Native Copper crystals. A delightful and well-priced specimen.
