Although this quarry was worked for limestone, it is for Native Sulphur and Celestine it is famous amongst mineral collectors. The quarry was and is officially the Stoneco quarry, named for its owners, but has for many years always been referred to by collectors as the Maybee quarry. Excellent crystals of Native Sulphur overgrowing scalenohedral Celestine is a terrific example from this locality. The Native Sulphur forms a translucent, bright lemon yellow crystals up to about 2.5 cm tall and contrast well against the white grading to creamy light grey Celestine crystals, these typically around 2 mm long but with one prominent crystal of 1 cm in the centre.
