Acidic golden lemon Legrandite crystals to 1.1 cm form several attractive clusters on a rusty coloured plate of naturally corroded Siderite crystals.  Legrandite is a zinc arsenate and has formed in the oxidised zone of the Ojuela mine at Mapimí in the state of Durango, Mexico.  The Legrandite forms bundles of parallel grouped crystals whose terminations produce a ragged or sawtooth apex.  Where they developed flat against the matrix, they are double terminated.  All crystals are translucent acrid lemon tending to golden yellow and occur on the back of the specimen as well as the display face.  A lovely miniature Legrandite from Ojuela mine.
