Deep butterscotch toffee coloured drusy Siderite almost entirely coats a group of milky Quartz crystals of up to 2 cm tall on a milky Quartz matrix. This terrific miniature is from the East Pool mine, whose restored engine house sits adjacent to the old A30 Camborne to Redruth road in Cornwall, England. The Quartz forms thick-set crystals typical of the mines in this area and the specimen is made all the more dramatic by inclusions of a black mineral in much of the Siderite, giving it a mixed toffee and black colour.
