ID:
CC21953
This charming miniature of completely gemmy purple and green Fluorite crystals is attached to two cuboctahedrons of Galena to 2.1 cm diameter. These are coated in light grey to whitish Hydrocerussite and is from the Hailstorm Pocket in Lady Annabella mine, Eastgate, Weardale, County Durham, England. The Fluorite forms asymmetric interpenetrant twins of elongated cubic crystals, 1.9 cm on their longest edge. Mined during the summer of 2021, the Fluorite exhibits good daylight fluorescence and under LWUV is bright mottled lavender white. Also, under LWUV, the Hydrocerussite fluoresces a dull yet distinct deep mustard yellow but shows no fluorescence in SWUV.
