Fluorite with Galena and Hydrocerussite

ID: CC21955
Two gemmy purple and mild sea green interpenetrant Fluorite twinned crystals are attached to one side of an equant yet somewhat crude cuboctahedral Galena crystal of 2 cm in diameter.  This has a thin coating of light grey to snow white Hydrocerussite, from the Hailstorm Pocket in Lady Annabella mine, Eastgate, Weardale, County Durham, England.  Both Fluorite crystals are twinned and measure up to 1.7 and 1.3 cm respectively.  Hydrocerussite is an uncommon mineral throughout Weardale and on this specimen forms a continuous matt coating, partly masking the Galena. The Fluorite displays strong daylight fluorescence and under LWUV fluoresces bright whitish lavender.
