On this high domed, small cabinet specimen from the Hailstorm Pocket at Lady Annabella mine, the Hydrocerussite coated Galena certainly takes centre stage. It is a little unusual in that the Hydrocerussite is of an untainted snow white, which, combined with its high coverage, makes the specimen a real eye-catcher. Many of the Fluorite crystals are translucent to transparent deep blackberry purple with a reasonably bright vitreous lustre. Mined during the summer of 2021, the Fluorite exhibits good to excellent daylight fluorescence and under LWUV is bright mottled lavender white. Also, under LWUV the Hydrocerussite fluoresces feint ethereal mustard yellow, yet shows no fluorescence in SWUV.
