Fluorite and Halides

ID: CC21960
A quite stunning and classic gemmy interpenetrant Fluorite twin of blackberry purple and light sage to sea green.  This ex. matrix small miniature is from the Purple Rain Pocket in Lady Annabella mine, Eastgate, Weardale, County Durham, England, with the largest prism measuring 2.9 cm on its longest edge.  The twin displays excellent daylight fluorescence and under LWUV fluoresces bright creamy lavender with well-defined white edges.  The crystals have a bright glassy, mirror-smooth surface while two faces of the large prism are naturally etched and micro-pitted.  A lovely miniature Weardale interpenetrant twin displaying alternating purple and green colour banding throughout the prism.
