A beautiful and classic gemmy interpenetrant Fluorite twin of deep blackberry purple. This ex. matrix small miniature is from the Purple Rain Pocket in Lady Annabella mine, Eastgate, Weardale, County Durham, England, with the largest prism measuring 2.8 cm on edge. When viewed close-up with low magnification (say, x5), fabulous purple and sea green colour zoning is observed throughout the gemmy interior. The twin displays an intense and eye-catching daylight fluorescence and under LWUV fluoresces bright rich lavender. The crystals have a resinous lustre with a mirror-smooth surface. It is a fine miniature example of a Weardale interpenetrant twin.
