A lovely miniature of intergrown blackberry purple Fluorite in interpenetrant twins from the Purple Rain Pocket in Lady Annabella mine, Eastgate, Weardale, County Durham, England. Covering a neatly trimmed rusty brown ironstone matrix, the Fluorite forms crystals to 2.7 cm long, ranging between semi-transparent and gemmy, all essentially purple with occasional feint colour zones of pale purple and green. Mined during the summer of 2021, the Fluorite exhibits good daylight fluorescence and under LWUV is mottled lavender with bright lavender white edges.
