A terrific small cabinet specimen of semi-transparent to gemmy purple and green Fluorite crystals with cuboctahedrons of Galena up to 3 cm diameter coated in light grey to off-white Hydrocerussite, from the Hailstorm Pocket in Lady Annabella mine, Eastgate, Weardale, County Durham, England. The Fluorite forms single crystals and interpenetrant twins of elongated cubic prisms, all essentially with a matt greasy lustre with occasional glassy edges and patches. Mined during the summer of 2021, the Fluorite exhibits strong daylight fluorescence and under LWUV is bright mottled lavender white. Under SWUV the Hydrocerussite is non-fluorescent.
