• Fluorite

ID: CC27094
A gorgeous gemmy interpenetrant Fluorite twin displaying graduated shades of light blackberry purple to mild sea green with curtained interiors.  The Fluorite forms as elongated cubic prisms, the longest edge measuring 2 cm.  The twin sits on a thin vein of a black, Goethite-like mineral sandwiched between colourless to mustard yellow micro-crystals of Fluorite.  This small miniature is from the Purple Rain Pocket in Lady Annabella mine, Eastgate, Weardale, County Durham, England, mined during the summer of 2021.  It displays mild to good daylight fluorescence and under LWUV the Fluorite fluoresces bright white lavender.
