A single crystal of Fluorite from the classic location of Blackdene mine in Weardale, County Durham, England. The lustrous, almost cubic Fluorite crystal has only two points of contact on a corner and one side of the specimen. The colour is a medium purple with gemmy edges to the crystal, this having crisp, sharp edges. This mine and Boltsburn mine are famed for producing these single blocky crystals of Fluorite. This lovely large miniature/small cabinet Fluorite is ex. the Lindsay Greenbank Collection (No. LG.641) and comes with his characteristic card label. A fine Fluorite crystal to grace any collector's cabinet.
