A superb small cabinet specimen of Plumbogummite pseudomorphing after Pyromorphite on one surface and unaltered Pyromorphite on the reverse, likely considered as the base. If it were not for the quality and aesthetic of the Plumbogummite the specimen would be prized for the Pyromorphite alone. From Yangshuo mine in Yangshuo County of mid-southern China, the Plumbogummite forms perfect pseudomorphed hexagonal prisms of powder sky blue, ranging in length from a few millimetres to about 2.4 cm. Terminations vary between shallow pyramidal, flat pinacoid and hoppered-pinacoid. The face covered with attractively chunky and stubby Pyromorphite crystals is a fairly uniform siskin lime green with all prisms coated in a thin frosted film of likely Quartz. A showy Plumbogummite with Pyromorphite from Yangshuo mine.
