An old-time pinkish mauve Fluorite from the Münstertal area, Freiburg Region, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, accompanied by two really old labels. How old is really old, one asks? Well with one fragile paper label containing three holes and a thicker card label, so rubbed, almost all the script is missing, then pretty old! The rather moth-eaten looking label, but probably acid burnt, is printed “Berlin an der Markthalle Haus” with part of the name F (or E) Pech. The Fluorite forms light pinkish mauve cubic crystals averaging 1.2 to 1.5 cm on edge, often with interesting three-way bevelled corners which partly extend along the edges. The Fluorite crystals have transparent to translucent lustrous faces with stepped linear growth patterns. The Fluorite overgrows a partly iron-stained Quartz veinstone matrix.
