Plagionite is an extremely rare lead sulphosalt, the term sulphosalt indicating the presence of sulphur and antimony. This thumbnail specimen displays crude yet obvious Plagionite crystals enveloping two small radial bursts of milky Quartz crystals. Euhedral Quartz crystals of between 1 and 2 mm cover a small patch and the metallic mid-grey Plagionite displays an ethereal blue iridescence.
