A delicate, radiating group of pink stained translucent to transparent Calcite crystals forming as slender prismatic nail-head prisms. The crystals average 1.5 x 0.3 cm covering a very thin yet strong matrix plate of mixed Calcite and Hematite. This specimen is from Beckermet mine by Egremont in west Cumbria, England and although not labelled as such, is likely from the Banana Slide fault. This attractive small cabinet specimen was collected in the early 1970s and comes with a Lindsay Greenbank label, No. LG.519.
