A beautiful, faceted cut light chrome green Fluorite from the Frazer's Hush mine near Rookhope in Weardale, County Durham, England, with a nett weight of 4.15 carats. The Fluorite has been cut as a truncated trillion (or trilliant) or for those not well-versed in such matters (like me), cut as an equilateral triangular face with the three corners cut off. The Fluorite is completely gemmy but does contain a feint veiled inclusion in the Fluorite lattice. Frazer’s Hush mine is best known for its magnificent purple Fluorite, yet it did indeed produce minor amounts of good green material from which this has been faceted.
