Fluorite (Faceted)

ID: CC3157
A beautifully facet cut, gemmy, apple green Fluorite from Frazer's Hush mine near to the village of Rookhope in Weardale, County Durham, England.  The cut is unusual with a trigonal pyramidal-cut base and multi-facetted crown.  The cut stone measures 11 x 9 x 8 mm and has a nett weight of 6.25 carats.  This is a nice to have specimen as most of the Fluorite from Fraser’s Hush was purple, with just the occasional bed of green crystals.  This cut-stone is housed in a clear acrylic gem box with foam insert.
