A tremendous cabinet specimen of lemon yellow Fluorite crystals overgrown by chains of interlinked pure white Dolomite crystals from the Moscona mine at Solís, Asturias, Spain. The Fluorite forms cubic crystals of a uniform 3 to 4 mm on edge and although this appears small, they are deceptively well defined and look larger! I’m not implying they distort the spacetime continuum in terms of relative dimensions, but they do appear bigger. Honest! All cubes are gemmy to translucent with sharp and crisp edges and faces, plus a bright glassy lustre. Individual blades of Dolomite can attain 1 cm and display characteristic curved saddles with a pearlescent lustre. It’s a really beautiful Spanish Fluorite which will display very well.
