ID: CC31972
Creedite, a calcium aluminium sulphate fluoro-hydroxide, forms a magnificent, near-complete spherical ball of radiating, spear-like crystals from Navidad mine at Abasolo in Durango, Mexico. The specimen measures 9 cm across its slightly longer diameter and the radiating rich apricot orange Creedite crystals probably average 1.5 to 2 cm long, although these are difficult to accurately measure. Adding highlights to the specimen are several part-crystals of Fluorite in aesthetic purple, deep cornflower blue and delicate peppermint green.
