Rhodonite
ID:
CC32203
The Chiurucu mine in Dos de Mayo Province, Huánuco Department, Peru, is best known for its vibrant, almost shocking-pink Rhodonite and this well-priced large miniature is an excellent example. Delicate platy-blades of hot-pink to creamy bubble gum pink Rhodonite cover much of the specimen. These are partly encrusted with a sugary coating of finely textured Quartz crystals adding further delicacy and sparkle. Turn the specimen over and the concave base is encrusted with tiny sparkling cubic Pyrite crystals. It’s a smack-you-in-the-chops mega-pink Rhodonite from Peru!
