Calcite on Baryte

This fine large miniature/small cabinet specimen of Calcite coating Baryte crystals is from the Hammam-Zriba mine by Zriba-Village in Zaghouan Governorate, Tunisia. Emanating from a minimal matrix of massive Baryte, tabular, blocky Baryte crystals are developed in co-paired groups, each a little off-set from the adjacent cluster and of diminishing size towards the front. These have then been subjected to a near-complete overgrowth of colourless to milky snow white small Calcite crystals with a brilliant glassy lustre. It displays well stood vertically on its base and is quite aesthetic given its relative simplicity.
