Azurite

Brilliant, highly lustrous Azurite crystals cover an entirely hidden carbonate matrix; a lovely small miniature from the world-famous Tsumeb mine in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia.  The Azurite is of the darkest inky-azure blue, yet at the crests and edges of some crystals where a little light is able to pass through, the glow of a more electric azure blue becomes apparent.  The crystals tend to be squat and rather blocky, the largest up to 1 cm in length.
