A cabinet specimen of rusty to dark chocolate brown gossan Quartz veinstone richly covered with typical bluish-deep emerald green micro-crystals of Brochantite from Cornwall, England. Under a loupe the crystals have an almost metallic lustre and individually sparkle against the contrasting matt gossan. A great example of Brochantite from Cornwall. The specimen is numbered 5739 and is ex the Collection of the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences. There is no Philadelphia label with the specimen, but this is noted on the accompanying Mike Brooke label (MB0017).
