A characteristic miniature of a well-formed 'tabular' Galena crystal from Wanlockhead's last working mine, New Glencrieff.  The specimen is dominated by a bright metallic silver grey Galena crystal measuring to 2.2 x 1.2 x 1.7 cm, well positioned in the central area of a crystallized, lustrous black Sphalerite matrix.  Two brassy golden Chalcopyrite crystals and several smaller crystals of Galena are also scattered over the surface.  An impressive miniature of well crystallised Galena from New Glencrieff Vein and one very typical of this distinctive Wanlockhead crystal habit.  Without any doubt, a first-class miniature from this famous and highly prized locality, accompanied by a British collector’s label.
