Calcite
ID:
CC3982
A beautiful light blush-pink lustrous translucent cabinet specimen of Calcite from the famous Madan Ore Field in Bulgaria. Excellently terminated crystals of Calcite measuring to 2.5 cm form a fine intergrown group. The pink colour to the Calcite is probably due to a small amount Manganese in the crystal structure. I have visited this area three times over the years and can say in all honesty this is one of the nicer specimens I have seen because of its somewhat more intense pink colouration and perfect crystal development. It is a thing of beauty.
