Mowbray mine is situated just to the south of Frizington in west Cumbria, England. The Baryte crystals are gemmy to translucent barley yellow, with milky white and pinkish white included patches and zones. One side of the specimen has a development of cream white Dolomite crystals spotted with daubs of red-brown Hematite. A really splendid Baryte with Dolomite from Mowbray mine, accompanied with a lovely George L. English label which is almost pristine in condition and labelled “Barite (Phantom).”
