Classic, bladed crystals of orange-tan tinted, creamy Cerussite from the old Leadhills mining area in southern Lanarkshire, Scotland.  The Cerussite crystals display abundant parallel growth and some reticulation, with individual crystals to 2 cm in length.  The cream and white Cerussite contrasts well against the greyish-black Galena-included Cerussite matrix.  The habit and variations in the Cerussite‚Äôs colour are very characteristic for the Leadhills-Wanlockhead ore field and this will make a lovely addition to any collection formed around this iconic mining district.
