Excellent twinned crystals of the calcium titanium nesosilicate Titanite from Mullwitz Aderl in the Obersulzbach Valley of Austria. Mullwitz Aderl is one of the smaller sub-peaks on the upper slopes of the Großvenediger (Grossvenediger) mountain. Twinned crystals of Titanite measuring to 1 cm are lustrous and gemmy with pastel yellow-green centres with deep olive-green edges. Some Titanite crystals are quite platy in habit, associated with white micro-crystals of Adularia, on a mica-schist matrix. An excellent miniature of Titanite from Mullwitz Aderl, Salzburg.
