An eye-catching large miniature of Wheal Wrey Calcite displaying several prismatic crystals with triangular cross-sections and a glassy to resinous lustre. The Calcite crystals measure to 4.6 cm and form in a pleasing parallel growth habit, grading from translucent milky white to colourless. Minute yet perfect cubic crystals of metallic golden Pyrite are scattered over the Calcite crystals with a higher concentration at their terminations. Some mines are known for particular specimens they have produced, Calcite from Wheal Wrey being a consummate Cornish classic of its type.
