Beryl variety Gem Aquamarine

A beautifully prismatic, gem quality and finely coloured sky-blue Beryl crystal from Córrego São Francisco in Almenara, Brazil.  This Aquamarine crystal displays natural incised etching to the prism and pinacoid faces and is exceedingly gemmy and highly lustrous. An ex-matrix specimen, the incised ends form a castellated-habit to the terminations and on one deeply etched termination is perched a 1.5 x 1.0 cm triangular cluster of transparent colourless Beryl.  This is a classic Brazilian Aquamarine from a single pegmatite pocket, with a nett weight of 91.8 grams and a specimen which will look magnificent in any collection.
