Excellent gemmy prismatic, terminated Epidote crystals from the famous Knappenwand location in Austria. Lustrous deep olive green Epidote crystals measuring to 1.8 cm form an aesthetic open cluster. The Epidote is surrounded by dense mats of intergrown grey-green acicular Byssolite which largely cover the base of the specimen. A 4 mm cluster of colourless Fluorapatite crystals also nestle between the Epidote and Byssolite. A delightful miniature from Europe’s best location for Epidote.
