A fine gemmy and delicately tinted lime to apple green crystal of Heliodor, a gem variety of Beryl, from the Volodarsk-Volynskii pegmatite area in Zhytomyr Oblast' of Ukraine. The single Heliodor crystal measures to 7 cm and displays many detailed naturally etched patterns with a somewhat elongated tabular appearance, making the otherwise ice-clear gemmy interior slightly frosted. The patterns in some of the terminated faces display semi-ovalized elongated hexagons. Towards one side of the termination a section of the prism is missing across an area of 2 x 1 cm, possibly from the mining process. The net weight of this large miniature is 102 grams. It is a fine Heliodor Beryl from the Chamber Pegmatites of the iconic Volodarsk-Volynskii deposit.
