A spectacular cabinet specimen of intergrown, bright bubble gum pink Rhodochrosite crystals lining a shallow, exposed vug in a cryptocrystalline matrix of dark brown Sphalerite. This attention-grabbing, aesthetic Rhodochrosite is from the Sacarîmb (formerly Nagyág) mining district in Hunedoara County, Romania. Tiny cockscomb blades of Rhodochrosite form botryoidal mounds of up to 7 mm diameter, all intergrown to form a continuous drusy carpet. This is an excellent example of Rhodochrosite from Sacarîmb, accompanied by four labels; three those of collectors and one a Trinity Mineral Co. stock label.
