ID: CC7451
A substantial, well-formed, lustrous bladed crystal of Azurite from Touissit measuring over 8 cm tall.  The crystal displays a rich dark Royal blue with parallel growth and some alteration to deep emerald-green Malachite, this having a metallic sheen and velvet texture.  The Azurite crystal is superbly terminated, and it must be pointed out that some chipping is apparent along the sharpest prism edges.  However, the latter does not detract from a remarkable and beautiful Azurite from Touissit in Jerada Province, Morocco.  (It does look like a Tsumeb Azurite, but it is from Touissit!).
