This beautiful combination of Scorodite with Pharmacosiderite is from Wheal Gorland, in the parish of Gwennap, Cornwall, a very old mine whose early records go back way into the 1700s.  The occurrence of Scorodite, a hydrated iron arsenate, and Pharmacosiderite, a hydrated basic ferric arsenate, together is not commonly seen in specimens, especially from these famous Gwennap mines, but when they both are both present, their combination of colours and crystal habits is fabulous.  Sparkling radial clusters of rich teal-sky blue Scorodite are intergrown with cubic lustrous leaf green Pharmacosiderite crystals measuring 1 to 2 mm, lining shallow vugs in a ferruginous Quartz gossan matrix.
