Wulfenite

ID: CC7687
A fine large miniature of intergrown Wulfenite crystals from one of Europe’s best known locations, that in the region of Mežica in Slovenia.  The specimen is probably from the Helena mine in the municipality of Črna na Koroškem.  Crystals of butterscotch orange Wulfenite measure to 8 mm and display a double pyramidal habit with many showing multiple terminations.  The prisms are opaque yet with translucent other surfaces and a brilliant glassy lustre.  A superb specimen form the famous and historic Wulfenite occurrence in Mežica.
