A granular, limonitic quartz veinstone contained three vugs richly lined with beautiful crystals of Pharmacosiderite and Scorodite from Wheal Gorland, then part of the St. Day United Mines in the parish of Gwennap, Cornwall.  Two of the vugs are in the top surface of the matrix, the deepest being partly lined with rich deep leaf-green cubic crystals of Pharmacosiderite to 2 mm on edge.  The shallower vug is partly lined with smaller Pharmacosiderite crystals, over which pale cornflower-blue Scorodite sprays are scattered, providing a superb colour contrast. The third vug is on one side of the specimen and this contains Pharmacosiderite like that in the large vug.  An excellent specimen from the legendary Wheal Gorland mine.
