A most attractive small cabinet specimen of deep, golden honey yellow Citrine Quartz crystals measuring to 2.7 cm, mainly overgrowing partly corroded Quartz crystals. From Masca Băişoara in Cluj County, Romania, the Citrine crystals range from semi-transparent to translucent and nucleate around larger, partially double terminated smoky Quartz crystals. It is a busy specimen with various shaped and coloured Quartz crystals emerging randomly at various angles. Genuine Citrine Quartz is a relatively rare mineral and it’s great to see such a fine example as this.
